The Ferrata degli Angeli begins with a hike from the landing point on the island, accessible by sea from Porto San Paolo. The trail ascends through Mediterranean vegetation until it reaches the base of the via ferrata. The equipped section is well-marked and follows the mountain ridges, featuring some exposed passages but always secured. The climb culminates at the summit of Punta Cannone, the highest point of Tavolara, offering a breathtaking view of the Maddalena Archipelago, Corsica, and the Gallura coast. For the descent, the normal route to Punta Cannone is followed.
