It is an extremely spectacular route, with a strong sense of verticality and breathtaking views along the ridge. It's an experience that can only be fully appreciated by traversing it, given the uniqueness of the rock and the environment. The Oseli Ridge is sharp and exposed, with many airy passages and continuous slabs. It is a demanding setting, bordering between advanced hiking and light climbing. There are about 8 abseils, the last of which is the most significant. The Louisiana Route is suitable for individuals who are confident in dealing with a combination of rock and exposure. The ascent includes a few short climbing sections up to grade III.
MEETING POINT & APPROACH
We meet in Baunei and from there we drive to the starting point of the hike. We park at the beginning of the trail to Serra Oseli (about a 40-minute drive).
TOUR DETAILS
The Louisiana Route on the Serra Oseli Ridge is a technical itinerary along one of the sharpest and most scenic ridges in the Supramonte of Urzulei. It alternates short climbing sections, abseils, and walking. The total duration of the route is approximately 7 hours.
