The multi-pitch climbing route Plus Loin Sera la Mer is one of the most fascinating lines at the Pranu Sartu cliff, near Buggerru, on the southwestern coast of Sardinia. The route climbs a spectacular vertical limestone wall towering above the sea, featuring sculpted and solid rock with technical and beautiful sections throughout. The setting is wild and atmospheric, with the sound of the waves providing a constant and evocative backdrop to the entire ascent.
MEETING POINT & APPROACH
We meet at the parking lot above Buggerru, then continue by car to the Pranu Sartu parking area, where we start the approach. After about 5 minutes of walking, we reach the first anchor point.
ROUTE DETAILS
The route consists of 3 pitches with the following grades: 6a, 6b, 5c
We begin the descent with rappels from the top of the cliff, reaching a small ledge close to the sea.
The beginning of the route includes a 6c move right at the start, but since it’s very close to the sea, it’s often unclimbable due to the waves. The rest of the climbing route unfolds on an incredible vertical wall, with a section of small crimps on the second pitch.
